I take a lot of photographs, I collect images from different sources. Over the years I have developed a method of constructing a painting by collaging different images together, this allows me to invent a story, I consider my work to be narrative / figurative, my work does not attempt to provide answers rather it poses questions.
I work rapidly on the canvas so that the work has a certain surety, I paint most of a canvas in one sitting , and then I leave it , to fester? Or maybe to gestate. after a time, it may change.
