Artist Statement

I predominantly create serialised works that combine generative techniques, machines, and traditional tools in varying degrees. I am inspired by the drift in seemingly rigorous, mechanised repetitions; in the tension between control and chaos.

Currently I am focused on two main works.
One is a set of serialised drawings that, regardless of subject, all share a theme of difference. Whilst each drawing stands alone, it is illuminated in its difference to its siblings.
The other is a set of drawings based on mechanically identical actions where flaws in the marking operation create novelty.
