THIS TOWN – A Short Film by Gavin Repton
A collaborative music project: a song to celebrate Wirksworth.
Song by Carol Fieldhouse with an arrangement for brass band by Billy Rowlatt. Featuring BM&W Brass Band and three local choirs; Soul Voices, The Nightingales from Waltham House and Raise Your Voices.
The song was commissioned by Graham Sellors for his play Wusser telling the story of Wirksworth Well Dressings and Carnival through the generations of one Wirksworth family.
Special thanks to all the people who took part in bringing this one off event to fruition. Our rehearsals were separate and we trusted it would come together when we met to record it!
