I graduated with first class honours in Fine Art in 2007 since when I have worked as a painter and printmaker alongside running my own greetings card publishing business, from which I have recently retired.
Now concentrating on my painting practice I am focusing on my ‘Family Matters’ project, using personal cine film footage as a starting point to consider family relationships, the degeneration of memory and the powerlessness children can feel. I aim to create artworks suggestive of their filmic origins, imbued with ambiguity, anonymity and atmosphere to enable the viewer to relate to the ubiquity of growing up.
