Amanda Glanville

Artist Statement

Amanda is a glass maker specialising in the miniature. She uses the lamp work technique to shape hot glass in a flame. Her work is bright, cheerful and reinvents the idea of little glass animals for the 21st century. Described as ‘art with a big smile on its face’, her pieces appeal to a big fanbase of Collectors keen to add a wee Dalek, toffee apple or toadstool to their cabinets of curiosities or heirloom Christmas decorations.  A tiny glass Coronavirus she made in 2021 was acquired by the Science Museum. London for their Covid 19 Collection for the Nation.
