Artist Statement

Amanda Glanville is a Maker of Tiny Glass Stuff

Discovering the meticulous art of flame-worked glass in the mid 1990’s she’s been on a mission ever since to reclaim the tradition of making kitsch ‘little glass animals’, reinventing them for the present day as quirky, affordable collectables.

She has become well-known for approachable, colourful and fun mini sculptures which delight young and old. Her work includes flamingos to brains, apple cores to hedgehogs, rockets to ice lollies – all less that 3cm in size. Come and find out what she’s planning for her annual Great Glass Advent Calendar!
