Andrew Morgan

Artist Statement

My artistic practice is inspired by my love of landscape and nature and the complexity, richness and depth of the natural world – shapes and patterns, colours and textures, the multiple layers and the changing light of a landscape. Trees and woodland are important subjects and form a substantial part of my work.

Printing is my primary art process. Using collagraphy and monoprinting as a foundation, I take an experimental approach to my work. I explore different ways of working, using multiple plates, stencils, methods of inking and the incorporation of collage material to express my interpretation of the natural world.
