Artist Statement

If I tried to explain what’s important to me, I’d talk about the landscape and the sky, about the city- where nature unexpectedly emerges, about lives lived, people, birds and creatures- old, new, real and imaginary. This is what I think about. This is what I make, hand-building, sculpting, decorating, all the foundation of the narrative. Using slips and glazes to enhance the forms or suggest the clouds and changing landscapes. I want to see us now and as we were, mix truth, fiction, people and nature, then bring everything together as one story.
