I produce handmade ceramic products which include tiles presented as multiples in framed collections, brooches, buttons and coasters.
The tiles are produced using a porcelain clay decorated with a white glaze. Images from my drawings, prints and photographs are then applied in the form of a platinum or colour transfer decoration.
The images I create are in direct response to the found objects from the Dorset coastline as well as botanical illustrations and drawings made in natural history collections and museums. My work explores fragments and partial imagery reflecting the incomplete fossils and natural treasure I collect on the beach.
