Artist Statement

I’m a Nottingham-based artist creating evocative, powerful paintings infused with rich colour. I use acrylics on board, canvas and paper, often incorporating other mark-making media, collage and image transfers into my pieces. I have a deep love of process and am engaged in a continual quest for new ways of creating image and mark. My paintings are a combination of figurative and abstract – the figures are focal points for narratives inspired by my own inner life and the lives and experiences of humans everywhere.
