Artist Statement

My contemporary ceramic sculptures and homewares combine natural forms, architectural and East Asian influences in a fun and modern way.

Each piece is hand-built in stoneware, terracotta or porcelain clays with individual elements arranged in repeating and flowing patterns. These give my sculptures the illusion of a growing organism or a subconcious meditative quality.

A love of bold colour combinations and tactile textures also feature in my work.

My current ‘Propagation’ collection of sculptures, lights, vessels and tablewares explores hybrid flower forms with geometric and architectural shapes.
