I am a Shropshire-based printmaker and an elected Member of the Society of Wood Engravers.
I began engraving during my MA at the Cambridge School of Art, and was lucky enough to be supported by the eminent engraver, John Lawrence. I have had work exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, the Royal West of England Academy and the Society of Wood Engravers.
I tend to focus on subjects from the natural world that lend themselves well to engraving. Inspiration might come from a carefully-tended National Trust garden or, equally, a worm’s-eye view of a woodland floor.
