Artist Statement

My name is Fiona Gill (Marmaladerose). I’m a textile artists based in the Yorkshire Dales. 

Known predominantly for my wet felted wool pictures of animals and flowers but more recently exploring hand embroidered portraiture after winning a national portrait competition.

This year my felt work has been featured on TV’s ‘Meet the Richardsons’ program and my embroidered portrait of ‘Bryony’ featured on the May/June cover of ‘Embroidery’ magazine. My work sells in UK galleries and online internationally.
