My work explores the cycles of time and tide, reflecting life’s endless flow and our place within it. Using textured layers of oil paint, I capture the changing sea and landscape, from peaceful moments to the dramatic forces of wind and storm. The process of distressing the surface mirrors nature’s shaping and erosion of the land. I focus on space, mood, light, and color, creating earth-like textures with oils to evoke the evolving landscapes and their natural forces.
