Artist Statement

I make botanical themed ceramics inspired by nature. These include vessels, wall mounts, large
charges, succulent pebbles & impressed pendants. I use a grogged stoneware clay, coloured
slips, underglazes and various oxides and textured glazes. All work is fired in an electric kiln. My
large coiled vessels are then sawdust fired to give a deep dark colour and then oiled to give a
shine. Most pieces are impressed with seed heads and foliage grown from seed in my own
garden and collected for use through the year.
I offer small group workshops in my garden studio and in community settings. Please contact for
further information.
