Artist Statement

I make ethereal contemporary knitted textile art and jewellery, inspired by the intricate forms and patterns found in nature. The exploration of different fibres and their interaction is an important element to my practise; wire and paper used with contrasting fine and transparent yarns give a unique lace-like quality which defines my work.

My latest collection sees the combination of stunning handmade Sterling Silver and copper elements, with Knitted Copper Wire structures to create Wearable Art Jewellery pieces.

This combination of materials enhances the ‘precious’ nature of the organic knitted forms.
