Helen is a Birmingham based book artist who’s passionate about handmade books. She uses traditional and modern methods of binding with high quality and function in mind. Her unique book cover designs are mixed media coupled with amusing quotes. Many of her books are made with beautiful contemporary papers and fabrics. No two books are the same so it means you end up with a unique, quirky hand made book.

Artist Statement
Title - ‘Covered Japanese Zig-Zag book’. The design of the book is influenced by Japanese book binding. The fabric covering the book is called Shwe-Shwe from South Africa
Title - ‘Perfect Bound Book’. The books are bound in a traditional method using beautiful contemporary papers for the covers. The paper is high quality 90gsm which can be used for writing or sketching
Title - ‘This is a Book for Attending Boring Meetings’. The cover designs are mixed media collage coupled with amusing quotes. There are also quotes included within the book
Title - ‘Multi-coloured Concertina Book’. Using 160gsm multi-coloured card these books can be used for example sketching, scrap-booking or as a photograph album
