The sculptural quality of shoes fascinates me. Shoe design and making is my practice. I love the challenge of transforming a sketch into a three dimensional object.with a fine point pen and watercolours I create abstract, organic doodles. Then I transfer them to my iPad. I carefully separate the image into lines and layers to be printed and cut out with a digital cutter. Using a combination of card, tissue paper, thread and wire, I hand craft the pieces on a shoe last to create my fantasy shoes.
