Artist Statement

Faded letters, postcards and photographs have always captured my imagination and these found items, their original identity lost over time, acquire newly imagined narratives in my layers of print, paint, assemblage and collage.

In our digital world of emails and texts, I am curious to know what traces we will leave now that the handwritten word is already becoming a thing of the past.

Equally inspired by mother nature, by seed heads and the beautiful architectural traces they leave behind, I am reminded that the process of life continues and that as the seasons pass, they continue to leave their mark.
