Plants and insects are drawn onto the work directly from life sketches.
The work is thrown on a wheel from red clay with added materials to give a varied texture and form. It is then often torn or broken and reassembled to make vessels which are decorative and symbolic.
These pots celebrate insects and weeds, rust and rubbish, as integral parts of the landscape. Without which life would be infinitely dull and sterile.
