Living in the UK, I am fortunate to be surrounded by a diverse range of coastal environments. From rugged cliffs to expansive sandy beaches, each location possesses its own unique character, influenced by the ever changing moods of the sea. It is these shifting atmospheres that inspire me to explore the interplay of light, color, and texture in my paintings.
Through the medium of oils, I strive to evoke a sense of calmness and serenity, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the atmospheric paintings I create. Working from memory gives me more freedom and expression and the ability to work using bold brushstrokes alongside palette knife mark making achieving rich textured paintings full of energy and emotion.
