Artist Statement

Born in Detroit, I felt so passionately about being an artist that I ran away from home to go to art college. Along the way, I experienced the vast beauty of the American Southwest, I experienced homelessness and poverty, and learned how to live and create with an economy of means.

I graduated from Arizona State University with dual degrees in Fine Arts, specialising in painting, but also including ceramics, sculpture, engineering, mathematics, physics, biology, and neon glass art.

I am inspired by nature, science, mathematics and computers.

I hope people find my work to be beautiful, thoughtful and humane.
