Nansy Ferrett-Paine

Artist Statement

I’m Monster Nip and I paint cats in foliage with a limited palette of acrylics (two blues, red, yellow and white). I love the amount of colour I can achieve from these few paints. For me, painting is like a puzzle which you have to crack by finding which colour or shape should go where.

My images are available as original works but some are printed onto giftware.

I am part of The Cabin which is an arts collective shop situated in Belper and my work is permanently there. I also run creative workshops and have illustrated books.
