Nell Swift

A weaver using natural fibres and custom-built hand looms. Nell weaves sea and mountain, coast and peak, capturing movement, pattern and texture to create textiles embedded with underlying codes anda  significance of place, time and memory. Nell’s work has been exhibited at Hastings Contemporary, The Millennium Gallery, Selected Space, The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair, New Ashgate Gallery, The National Centre for Craft and Design, and has been featured in the Financial Times and profiled on Artist Support Pledge. Nell is amember of the Crafts Council, Design Nation, and Find a Maker, and is funded by Arts Council England.
