Artist Statement

Artwork exploring the wonder of life in our oceans!
Using ink, I create intricately detailed paintings and drawings that celebrate the biodiversity and interconnectedness of our blue planet whilst drawing attention to the threats it faces. I believe art can be a powerful tool for conservation.

I’m fortunate to have experienced the ocean by scuba diving, and back in the studio I draw upon my encounters underwater and work from reference images taken on dives.
I work from my home studio in Leicestershire. My work has been exhibited nationally, including the Harley Gallery and Leicester New Walk Natural History Museum.
