Artist Statement

Chatsworth Garden through the year is the subject of my latest work which is drawn directly onto an iPad in front of the subject.

Flora and fruit in the famous, historic gardens have been closely observed on several visits each month.  Exotic, ornamental plants and more common garden favourites have caught my eye in the glasshouses, grottoes, formal and cutting gardens.

The resulting images provide a rich palette of plants which have been arranged, in features also drawn from the surroundings, to create a seasonal illustration using a contemporary media.

Images are printed using archival quality ink and paper.
