‘Fika – Make time to take a break’ is the subject of my latest work which is drawn on an iPad. This cherished Scandinavian custom is more than a coffee break – it’s about slowing down and finding time for socialising whilst you sip a drink and enjoy a little something to eat. On a recent holiday to Sweden this ritual became part of our daily routine, providing many still life studies. These have been used as the starting point for exploring the techniques of the iPad in the style of different artists, to learn from them and develop my own practice.
