Artist Statement

I’m an artist printmaker based within walking distance of the River Derwent, on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire. A multi-disciplinary printmaker, I work predominantly in the age-old tradition of acid-based etching, harnessing established techniques to develop finely etched, expressive metal plates. I also specialise in monotypes and contemporary interventions in print. My practice is currently focussed on the movement of river water as it journeys through landscape; following extensive walks and exploration, I draw in response to place and then express this dialogue with the river and the Peaks in print.
