Artist Statement

A multi-disciplinary printmaker, I explore the within and beyond in landscape, investigating emotional and spiritual responses to immersion in nature, especially the exquisite dialogue between water and land.

Based within walking distance of the River Derwent on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire, I draw in response to place before primarily working in the heritage of acid-based copper etching. Harnessing traditional techniques, finely etched metal plates develop that print as deeply atmospheric, original contemporary etchings.
