I’m an artist and illustrator from Leeds, living and working in Derbyshire. My INKY CONDITIONS combine ink drawings with words; fragments of stories, monologues and mumbled asides. These ‘one-frame storyboards’ elevate and celebrate the ordinary and everyday: gateways to and from grief; from love to loss and back home in time for your tea.
Quickly-worked ink strokes and accidents are carefully carried through to the simple book-like finish of giclee printing. Their ‘parent’ drawings and selected handmade prints are often exhibited alongside. Two collections of worded pictures were self-published in 2023.
